Amidst much personal probing by show host Amro Al Laithi, special guest Rami Sabri spoke to the question we've all been wondering for awhile: is he intentionally trying to look like Amr Diab? Because let's be for real, his resemblance to the "Fame" star is a little uncanny. The celeb appeared on the Al Hayat show "Biwodooh" (Clarity) and assured viewers that the similarities between the two Egyptians songsters is mere coincidence, adding that any star that relies on imitating others will never make it in the entertainment world.
Rami did allude that he was influenced by Amr's music and was a big fan, especially in his younger years. He said that Amr's songs hold a lot of memories near and dear to the heart for him. At an Eid Al Fitr concert last year, Rami even performed one of his colleague's songs upon the audience's request.
According to Laha Magazine, Rami revealed that he has intentionally kept away from the media the past three years because their concentration has been strictly political, something he wants to keep at an arm's length.
