Jordanian singer Rania Al Kurdi has announced that she will no longer host the popular television show Superstar, after having participated in it for the past two successful seasons. The singer added that she will not be presenting any television programs and will dedicate all her time to her singing and acting career.

According to the London based Elaph, Rania made her announcement of not being a part of Superstar during a celebration held for the cast of her upcoming film "The Seventh Sense" in Cairo, which will mark her first leading role in the cinema alongside Egyptian actor Ahmad Al Fishawi.

Rania revealed that being a television presenter was just a temporary phase and her real passion is her singing career, and the film is just a new challenge for her to test her ability in the acting world.

Rania revealed that if she went on with Superstar for a third season that will make all her fans look at her from that dimension only. Rumors had it that Rania left the show because she had disputes with costume designer Nicole Bardawile. Rania did not deny the fact that she had a hard time dealing with Nicole and that she had some clashes with her but stressed that this was not the real reason behind her leaving.

About her experience with Superstar, Rania said that this experience made her more confident and enabled her to have a wide base of connections in addition to the fact that it introduced her to Arab and Lebanese fans.

Currently she is working on her album which will include 10 songs. Rania cooperated with many composers like Elias Rahbani, Marwan Khoury, and may others. The New Century production company that is producing the album is still new in the business. –Albawaba.com
