In extreme anger, Lebanese television broadcaster Razan Moughbrabi denied recent circulating rumors that she has been kicked off the ‘Adam and Eve’ portion of the weekly Egyptian television program “Al Bait Baitak” (Our Home is Your Home). Razan stressed that she had signed with the producers of the show for the holy month of Ramadan only.
She added that what was said about the numerous complaints that the Egyptian channel received about her were untrue and contrary to the fact, which was that the Egyptian audience had expressed their fondness of her on the show, reported the Qatari based daily, Al Raya.
It was rumored that Moughrabi will no longer host the ‘Adam and Eve’ portion of the program, after the manager of the Egyptian television station received numerous complaints.
And it was said that Egyptian audiences prefer watching Egyptian broadcasters instead of Lebanese, fearing that people will stop watching Egyptian programs.
In addition, the appearance of Razan on the show throughout the holy month of Ramadan gave rise to criticism from the network, journalists, and viewers who could not accept the idea of a woman like Razan with a daring and outspoken personality.
Head of the station, Suzan Hassan, said the appearance of Razan on the program and the large advertising campaign did not add to the success of the program.
The popular show acquired a new format for the holy month after Razan joined the crew.
The program was divided into three sections. The first is presented by the usual host journalist Mahmoud Saed, which usually deals with political issues.
The second part of the show was presented by Razan and Abbas regarding issues concerning men and women, usually including a social expert.
