Razan Moughrabi denies placing conditions for Ahmad Al Sakka

Lebanese television broadcaster Razan Moughrabi denied circulating rumors that she had set certain conditions regarding alteration the script of the new film “Harb Italia” (The Italian War), which she had been nominated to star in alongside young Egyptian actor Ahmad Al Sakka. Razan stressed that she was so impressed with the role offered that she did not care what anyone may say about her accepting a part that was turned down by two well-known actresses.

 

According to the Qatar based daily, Al Raya, Razan will play the role of a Lebanese girl living in Italy, who is a con artist that steals peoples money. Throughout the events of the film, she falls in love with a young man, who makes her look at life in a new perspective and her life begins changing dramatically.

 

Ahmad denied rumors over the existence of a dispute between him and Egyptian actress Hala Shiha, over the latter’s withdrawal from the leading role in “The Italian War”.  It was rumored that Hala had turned down Ahmad’s offer for the role and accepted another with Egyptian singer Mohammad Foad in his upcoming film “Ghawi Hubb”, which she had recently backed out of as well.
 
Ahmad stressed that he never even nominated Hala for the role and the only actress he chose for the part was Nelly Kareem, who had accepted the role without hesitation. Ahmad added that the role in the film, which had witnessed numerous withdrawals, is not the one given to Nelly but a secondary role.
 
The remaining cast of the will be Khaled Abu Al Najja, Khaled Saleh, Majdi Kamli, and actor Hussain Yousef in his first appearance away from religious dramas and will play the role of Ahmad’s father in the film.
