Egyptian director Saed Hindawi has announced that Lebanese TV presenter Razan Al Moughrabi did not pull out of his film “Halit Hub” (A Dose of Love), but was rather stripped of the role for her lacking the talent to act. The director had at first put Razan under a number of acting tests and the end results were that she failed miserably and is not the least bit capable of acting.

According to the Egyptian based weekly, Al Nogoom, Saed immediately removed Razan’s name from the cast of the film and replaced her with the actress Donia. It was previously rumored that Razan had made the decision to pull out of film due to the fact that she was unable to get a vacation from her previously scheduled television work. Razan was to begin shooting the scenes for the new film alongside Egyptian actors Hani Salama, Sharif Ramzi, and singer Tamer Husni.

The film's story is by Tamer, and deals with a social dilemma of a family that is separated due to divorce and the two sons are divided between the parents and live apart for a period of twenty years. When the family is united after such a long time, a culture clash occurs between the brothers due to their living in different environments and disputes occur when the two fall in love with the same girl, was previously to be played by Razan. The film deals with a critical issue that has become a common problem among Egyptian families today.

Razan said that despite criticism regarding the manner she acts on her shows, she will continue to always introduce new and funky techniques to allure her audience. She expressed that it is her duty to always appear amusing and it’s this trait that has gained her popularity worldwide.

Razan said that she feels obligated to always leave her mark while presenting a show. Adding that she can not pretend to be a boring character, she intends on always being energetic and witty. She said she does not mind the negative criticism for everyone is entitled to his or her own opinion as she is entitled to hers.

Razan, holds a degree in Communication Arts from LAU in Lebanon, and joined MBC seven years ago after a successful three and a half years career at the Lebanese Future TV. On MBC, she is well known for her most popular western variety program, ‘Pops and Tops’. - Albawaba.com
