The Arab satellite channel MBC recently held a press conference to launch the new entertainment program "Shahrazan," an adaptation of the classic tale ‘A Thousand and One Nights,’ hosted by Lebanese broadcaster Razan Al Moughrabi.

The program revolves around Razan’s travels around the world to show the Eastern audience what is going on in the Western entertainment world.

Razan’s travels include interviews with international stars to discuss their careers and the details of their lives. The program also has reserved 15% of its time to hold interviews with Arab stars.

The show marks Razan’s return to the small screen after a one year absence.

Moughrabi has given her initial agreement to star in the upcoming film "Al Nasabeen" (The Crooks). The script was written by director Khaled Jalal, and will be directed by Rami Adel Imam, son of prominent Egyptian comedian-actor Adel Imam.

According to the London based Elaph, the film’s title may change once filming commences. Actors Khaled Saleh, Yasmin Abdul Aziz, Mohammad Rajab, and Hassan Husni have been nominated to star alongside Razan.

Razan is enthusiastic about the different cinematic opportunities she enjoyed this year, declaring, "It is a big step forward in my career."
