Lebanese singer Rida Boutrus has announced that she has postponed the release of her upcoming album due to the tragic conditions that have hit Lebanon this past month with the assassination of former Lebanese PM Rafiq Al Hariri. Rida’s production company F.B respected her wishes and agreed to the delay, but did not specify a new date for the release.

According to the London based weekly, Laha, Boutrus had been working intensely in preparing for her album after Sony produced her first solo album after her breakup from the duo with her sister Nina. Sony offices in Turkey have contacted Rida and offered to produce and market her song “Mustafa Ya Mustafa”.

Rida has recently released a new single "Hilweh El Donia" (The World is Beautiful), which is a remix of the first song prominent singer Wadi Murad ever sung at the beginning of his career. The song is originally sung in the Greek language, but Rida's version includes a number of alterations made to it.

Rida's changes were minor in some ways trying hard to keep the song as it was when Wadi sang it. Rida has recently signed a new contract with Free Music Records Company, which will adopt all of Rida's work.

Rida recently came back from the United States of America, after she had gone to be by the side of her sister Nina Boutrus who was in labor for her firstborn, a baby girl named Rida Junior. Rida expressed that it's her duty to be by the side of her sister in such an emotional moment, putting all her work aside until her sister is back on her feet.
