Rola Saed was not nominated to play the role of “Sabah”

The producer Sadeq Al Sabah denied that he nominated Lebanese artist Rola Saed to play the role of the famous Lebanese artist “Sabah” in a new drama series that he will begin filming in December of 2009.

The new series, to be aired on “Future” channel, will talk about the life and legacy of “Sabah.” The production company “Cedar Art Production” plans to have the series ready for the 2010 Ramadan season.

According to the London daily Elaph, Sabah will make a guest appearance in the series.

  An agreement has been made with the writer Ayman Salameh with the help of writer George Khater to work on the series in conjunction with Sabah’s neice Claudia Aqel. 

 A director has yet to be chosen.

A US$3.5 million budget has been set for the production and the series will include musical performances in Balbak City in Lebanon. The majority of the series will be filmed in Egypt.
