Rotana paves the way for Nancy Ajram’s entry
Lebanese singer Nancy Ajram was recently honored on Rotana satellite television music channel for reaching the number one spot on the program top twenty, despite the fact that she is not a member of the company. It has been revealed that placing Nancy on top was done in order to ease the way for her joining the company and becoming part of their large list of singers.
According to the Saudi based daily, Okaz, it was added that Nancy is currently holding negotiations with officials at Rotana, and that the announcement of her joining them will be public soon.
Despite the fact that she is not a member of the Rotana Production Company, Ajram was able to defeat all the singers in the company with her latest hit “Aah Wi Nus” reaching the number one spot in the top twenty song contest. Nancy was able to compete with all the singers enlisted in Rotana and defeat them after the audience voted her song as the best.
Presenter of the top twenty program stressed that Nancy’s accomplishment proves the fairness of the race, adding that Nancy’s proved that she has come a long way in her career, and is in fact a very popular and talented singer. After winning the first prize in the contest, the announcer of the program held Nancy as a special guest on the show and presented her with an award.
Ajram is in the process of filming her fifth song in the form of a music video from her latest album. Saeed Al Marouq, who also directed the latest music video for Lebanese singer Najwa Karam “Leash Imgharib”, will direct the new song “Inta Aih” (What Are You?) for Nancy.
Nancy is also preparing for shooting an episode for one of the programs on the Lebanese satellite channel Future, in which she will present a collection of songs from her latest album “Ah Wi Nus”.
Ajram has denied allegations that her music videos are sleazy and unethical. The singer stressed that her performance in her videos only reflects feminine characteristics and does not exceed that limit. Nancy revealed in a press conference she held in Amman Jordan, right before her concert, that her appearance is not the least bit seedy, even though she does appear in more ways than wan attractive and seducing.
