The production company ‘Rotana’ will release Lebanese singer Nawal Al Zoghbi’s latest album “Khalas Samahit” (I Forgave You), featuring eight songs.
Radio stations in Lebanon, Egypt and the Gulf countries have started airing Nawal’s new song “Qalbi Sa’alo” (My Heart They’ve Asked). The song placed on the top 20 chart on Egypt’s FM radio station, ranking 7th.
It seems that ‘Rotana’ is enthusiastic about the new album, and the advertisements have been successful.
First there was a ‘teaser advertisement’ called “Sawa Min Jadid” (Together Once Again) featuring the initials ‘NZ.’ There was a report sent out to different media sources in Lebanon and there were posters hung in the streets asking who the singer ‘NZ’ is?
After few days ‘Rotana’ aired an advertisement that played one line of the song without saying the name of the singer. It was Nawal singing “Ili Befaker Yejrahak Bartah Mino O Ba’telo” (Whoever tries to hurt you I will take care of him and kill him.” The line from the song was shocking to listeners, uneasy about the word ‘kill.’ Newspapers in Lebanon, Egypt and the Gulf countries were keen to know who Nawal might ‘kill’.
According to the London daily Elaph, ‘Rotana’ marketing manager Hadi Hajar said that this type of advertisement was used for Nawal since is this is her first album since she came back to work with the company, and they wanted it to be a success.
The name of the advertisement was “Sawa Min Jadid” (Together Once Again), because the company and Nawal are renewing their work together, said Hajar. Nawal worked with the marketing department to design the album cover and to create the advertisement.
Nawal will film a video clip for the song. “Rotana’ describes the lyrics as ‘romantic,’ meaning Nawal would go to any length for her love.
