Rotana takes on Maya Nasri as its newest member
Lebanese singer Maya Nasri has announced that she has joined Rotana Music Production Company after she released her latest album, "Low Indak Kalb” (If You Had a Heart). The singer has also revealed that she will take part in the big event in Sharm El Sheikh-Egypt on August 2, 2003 that will feature a number of female singers who are part of Rotana. The event will be sponsored by Saudi Prince Al Waleed Ibn Talal himself, owner of Rotana.
Nasri has witnessed an enormous success since the first day of release. With her popularity rising, many sponsors are rushing to reach agreements with her in order to hold concerts in the Arab world and the West.
The singer has announced that she will be heading on a tour in September taking her to Australia, Canada, and on to the United States of America, reported the London based Elaph. It was revealed that Maya will also be guest on the Lebanese Broadcasting Company (LBC) satellite channel international music festival along with some of the most prominent Arab singers like Wadi El Safi and Tony Hanna. She will then move on to hold a concert with Lebanese singer Wael Kfoury in Lebanon.
The new album features a collection of songs sung in the Lebanese and Egyptian styles and was composed and written by prominent poets artists from both countries. Maya had recorded some of the songs in Egypt during one of her visits. Maya chose the song “Low Indak Kalb” (If You Had a Heart) to be the main one to hold the album’s title, which she also filmed in the form of music video in Egypt under the direction of Ahmad Al Mahdi. The clip is to be first aired first on the Lebanese Broadcasting Company (LBC) satellite channel.
After an absence that lasted over a year, Nasri returned to the music scenes with her latest hit single "Haba Hubat" (One Piece of Love). The song is part of Maya's latest album "Ah Ya Salam" (Oh My Goodness), which features eight songs. The singer released the song "It'athabit Ya Qalbi" (I'm Heartbroken My Love) on most local radio channels. Maya is due to film one of the songs from the album in the form of a video clip under the direction of Tony Abu Al Yas.
