Ruby turns down “Shahrazad”
Egyptian singer Ruby apologized to director Yusri Naser Allah for turning down his offer and not participating in the new film “Ihki Ya Shahrazad” (Shahrazad Talk). Ruby has messed up the calculations for the director who was aiming to start filming right after “Eid Al Fiter” (Muslim holiday after Ramadan) break. The director has already begun looking for another face to replace Ruby in the film.
The film was written by Wahid Hamed and it will be produced by the ‘Egyptian Cinema Production Company.’ The new film will star famous Egyptian actress Muna Zaki, Mahmoud Hamideh, Ghada Abed Al Razaq and for the first time Jordanian actress Saba Mubarak. Even though Ruby’s role was a minor, yet it was an effective one in the film.
On her behalf Ruby revealed that she wished that she could work with the famous Muna Zaki side by side and with director Yusri Naser Allah, but she found out that the filming time will coincide with the filming of her other new film “Tahet Al Saytarah” (Under Control). Ruby will be starring with the famous Egyptian actor Mahmoud Yasin and Asar Yasin; therefore, she preferred turning down the new offer to avoid complications between the two films.
On the same grounds, Ruby received an offer from the production company “Al Patros” for one million Egyptian pounds to stat in the new film “Laban Al Asfoor” (Bird’s Milk) with the young actor Ramiz Jalal. The film will bring together both Ruby and director Sharif Sabri once more for the first time after they were separated. The two have worked together for a long time and Sabri is considered to be the founder of Ruby and the one who introduced her to show business.
