When the legendary Lebanese singer Sabah announced that Lebanese singer/actor Rula paid her USD100,000 to perform the duet “Yana Yana,” she did so to limit accusations against Rula that she took advantage of Sabah to build her fame.

According to the London daily Elaph, Rula made it clear more than once that “Sabah couldn’t be bought.”

When Rula released her duet with Sabah many offers started coming her way, yet she would only accept if Sabah was present with her to perform.  Sabah and Rula gave several concert performances concerts.  Rumors claim that Sabah was paid well for each performance, reaching as high as USD 100,000 for a famous Arab businessman.

Rula refused to comment, but asserted there is “no price for Sabah’s talent.”

Sabah is well known for her generosity, assisting several poor families throughout her life.
