Sabah sells possessions to help others

Prominent Lebanese singer came back to Lebanon after spending seven months in the USA, and is now residing at the Comfort Hotel in Hazmieh district in the Lebanese capital Beirut. Sabah is a singing legend in the Arab world and her singing career went from one success to another during the past sixty years.

Sabah denied recent rumors that she sold her house because she was facing financial problems and added that she did so to help other people in more need of money than her, including her daughter Huwaida who lives in America. She added that another reason was the fact that the apartment was too big for her and needed large sums of money to keep it.

With regards to her trip to America she expressed her happiness to see her daughter and brother, adding that she loves being back to Lebanon and she wants to live in a hotel to be pampered by everybody.

Sabah denied being in love with a young man back in the States, and showed expressions of sadness when was asked about her former relationships saying that most men were after her money and not for real love.

Sabah's brother Roger Faghali had recently written a song to eminent singer Najwa Karam entitled [Leish Mugareb]. Sabah showed her happiness about the work and said that she is not annoyed that her brother gave the words to Najwa and not to her because the song does not suit her age.

Sabah will soon be honored in two festivals in Egypt one in Cairo and the other in Alexandria, in addition dress designer William Khoury who accompanied Sabah for a long time now in her career is intending to establish a museum for her dresses.

Sabah denied that she is bankrupt and was forced to sell all her personal possessions including her dresses. Sabah stressed that she is not facing a difficult financial situation, on the contrary she does not need anyone to support her and has always been the one who supported so many people financially.

It was rumored that Sabah came back to Beirut heartbroken and frustrated. The reason of this is due to the fact that she had to sell her house and her dresses, which she was hoping to sell at an auction, because of the hard financial situation she is going through.

The singer still has many male admirers, who dream of getting involved with her. The latest admirer, who had fell in Sabah’s net is Era Calvin, owner of a very prestigious restaurant in Los Angeles California, which has also become the current resident of the singer. Era had repeatedly asked Sabah to hold numerous performances in his restaurant, which were all marked with significant success. Era had also held a special honorary ceremony for Sabah and invited many prominent figures. – Albawaba.com
