Lebanese diva Sabah has turned down a generous gesture from Lebanese singer, who offered to buy her an apartment to live in as a way of showing his respect and admiration for her. Sabah kindly turned down his offer stressing that she is financially capable of buying an apartment, but she rather reside in her hotel suit instead, where the service is taken care of.
Sabah revealed that she is currently living a peaceful life and plans on traveling to Egypt to attend an award ceremony, where she will be honored for her long journey in the entertainment world. Sabah stressed that she wishes people, who are spreading rumors of her being bankrupt, would leave her alone and let her enjoy living her life.
Sabah came back to Lebanon after spending seven months in the USA, and is now residing at the Comfort Hotel in Hazmieh district in the Lebanese capital Beirut. Sabah is a singing legend in the Arab world and her singing career went from one success to another during the past sixty years.
Sabah denied recent rumors that she sold her house because she was facing financial problems and added that she did so to help other people in more need of money than her, including her daughter Huwaida who lives in America. She added that another reason was the fact that the apartment was too big for her and needed large sums of money to keep it.
Sabah's brother Roger Faghali had recently written a song to eminent singer Najwa Karam entitled [Leish Mugareb]. Sabah showed her happiness about the work and said that she is not annoyed that her brother gave the words to Najwa and not to her because the song does not suit her age.
It was rumored that Sabah came back to Beirut heartbroken and frustrated. The reason of this is due to the fact that she had to sell her house and her dresses, which she was hoping to sell at an auction, because of the hard financial situation she is going through. – Albawaba.com
