Sabreen faces corruption
After she finished filming her scenes in the new television drama series “Al Omdah Hanem” which is scheduled to be aired during the upcoming Ramadan season, the Egyptian actress Sabreen will be filming another role in a different drama series. Sabreen will be playing a “Sa’iedi woman” (Sa’ied is an Egyptian suburb” who is very strong and fights corruptions.
The series which is called “Tahet Al Rimad” (Under the Ashes) is written by the great writer Osama Anwar Okashah and directed by Basem Mahfouth. The series will star Wafa Amer, Mina Fadly, Salah Abdullah, Khaled Salim and Kamal Abu Rayeh.
According to the Jordanian daily Al Rai, the new series is about a businesswoman that comes from Al Sa’ied to live in Cairo where she establishes a huge company for making medicine. Sabreen’s character faces many obstacles, because there is great corruption in the medical field, yet she decides to fight back with the help of a well-known newspaper.
As for her new role in “Tahet Al Rimad”, Sabreen said that it is different than her role in the previous drama series “Al Omdah Hanem”. On the other hand, Sabreen said that the only resemblance between the two roles is that both are roles of positive Sa’iedi women instead of the usual role where the Sa’iedi woman’s only job is to persuade her sons to get revenge and kill for their honor.
