A dispute erupted between the director of the film Jaana Al Bayan Al Tali, Said Hamed, and the scriptwriter, Mohammed Amin, after the former discovered that the movie was based on the plotline of an American film, according to the Qatari daily Al Raya.
Journalists who saw the film revealed that it was based on an American film starring Julia Roberts. The shocked director immediately blasted the supposed "writer."
Meanwhile, the star of the film, Mohammed Hineidi, flew last Wednesday to Saudi Arabia to perform Umra (the lesser pilgrimage to Mecca), as he does every year.
