In an unexpected surprise, particularly after rumors circulating about Egyptian star Shireen Saif Al Nasr's pregnancy from husband Midhat Saleh, the couple announced their divorce last Thursday, after a four-month marriage.
The London-based daily, Al Sharq Al Awsat, reported on Monday that the divorce secretly happened in compliance to Saif Al Nasr's wish. "Midhat is a great man, and we shared lots of happy days, but it's all for fate and our four-month marriage must come to an end," Saif Al Nasr said, refusing to uncover the reason behind the divorce, and denying rumors about her pregnancy.
The star, who lives now with her mother in Al Geeza, will travel to Sohaaaj next Wednesday, with star Adel Imam, performing their "Body Guard" play.
For his part, Midhat Saleh expressed his respect to Saif Al Nasr, saying that they are still friends and hold no hard feelings. "We might star together in director Magdi Ahmed's upcoming movie 'Yawmiyat Mudares Banat' (Memoirs of Female School Teacher)," Midhat said.
Last June, the couple had blasted a big surprise by their unexpected marriage. The wedding, held in a famous hotel in Cairo, took place in complete secrecy, as the party was limited to the couple's family and relatives.
The marriage marked the fifth for actor-singer Midhat Saleh and the second for Saif al Naser. – Albawaba.com
