Lebanese singer Nancy Ajram has refused to enter the Top Twenty Music Video competition aired on the satellite music channel Rotana unless her new song “Loan Oyounak” (The Color of Your Eyes) is placed in the number one spot. Nancy’s demand was immediately met by officials at Rotana, due to the fact that the show will surely achieve more success with Nancy in it.

According to the London based Elaph, this marks the second time Nancy enters the Top Twenty race even though she is not a member of Rotana Production company. It has been revealed that the company is treating Nancy in this manner because it is hoping to cut a deal with her and have her join their team of singers.

Nancy stressed that she benefited a lot from her first set backs because failure made her more persistent to achieve success. Despite starting her career at a young age Nancy was organized and gave proper time to her studies and to her personal life as a child beside her life time passion which is singing. Nancy had what it took to succeed and the most important factor was her boldness and ability to change her style in the way she sings to satisfy her fans and that was the real key of her current success.

In the world of technology, Nancy said that talent is not enough to be famous but you also need to take care of your appearance to market your work among the younger generation, adding that the most important thing that changed in her since she started singing was her confident which is growing bigger with experience. Nancy revealed that her song [Ah wi Nos] was filmed in Lebanon despite the Egyptian atmosphere that was dominating the video clip and that was because the words are mostly used by Egyptian people so she had to chose that theme for the song. –Albawaba.com
