Despite strict doctors' orders, Egyptian actress Sharihan insisted on returning to Egypt to be with her daughter and family after being away for so long. Doctors, who were supervising the health condition of Sharihan, feared that her return to Egypt will create complications especially since her condition is still somewhat critical and she is to avoid speaking and undergoing any activity.
After months of critical treatment for cancerous tumors and after countless rumors of her deformation and even death, Sharihan returned to Egypt alive and in good condition. Standing alongside her husband, Palestinian businessman Alaa Al Khawaja, Sharihan stood with her ever so popular smile thankful to have returned to her home expressing her appreciation to all those who stood by her side throughout her illness.
According to the London based daily, Al Sharq Al Awsat, Sharihan arrived in Egypt on her husband's private plane wearing jeans and a simple white t-shirt. She walked slowly but without any help through the airport greeting people with a simple smile showing them that she is finally cured of her illness. Witnesses realized that despite her improvement in condition, her left cheek was numb and one can tell that it is not functioning correctly.
Sharihan's family along with a number of Egyptian actors and actresses were present at the airport to greet her. Among those present were Yusra, Laila Ilwi, Yousif Sha'baan, Samir Sabri, and many others.
On a different note, she completed the pilgrimage Umra (a religious pilgrimage) early this month after her health condition improved and stabilized. Sharihan’s husband and her personal secretary accompanied the actress to the kingdom after her insistence and desire to come to the holy lands if her condition improved.
On October 14, doctors announced that the face of Sharihan would never return to normal, after an 18-hour surgery she underwent in Pitie Salpetriere hospital, in Paris. Her secretary Jamal Anwar assured then that the star's state is still stable, and that doctors are still prohibiting visits to Sharihan to avoid any unexpected side effects.
Born on December 6th 1965, Sharihan Ahmad Abdul Fatah Al Shalakani, a member of the well-known Khorshid family, showed interest in becoming a professional dancer and an actress at an early age. She studied both ballet and tap dancing besides keeping up with school at the age of 6, and had her movie debut in "Quita Ala Nar" (Quita On Fire). – Albawaba.com
