Sources close to Egyptian actress Sharihan has recently arrived at the Sheraton Hotel in Madina-Saudi Arabia after she completed Umra (a religious pilgrimage). The actress completed the pilgrimage after her health condition improved and stabilized, the London based daily Al Sharq Al Awsat reported.

Sharihan’s husband, Alaa Al Khawaja and her personal secretary accompanied the actress to the kingdom after her insistence and desire to come to the holy lands if her condition improved. She also intends to return to Egypt commenting that she misses her home after being away for such a longtime.

Sharihan has just undergone a new form of extensive chemotherapy treatment which doctors said her body accepted improving her condition dramatically. Sharihan had had several operations last year to treat cancerous tumors.

On October 14, doctors announced that the face of Sharihan would never return to normal, after an 18-hour surgery she underwent in Pitie Salpetriere hospital, in Paris. Her secretary Jamal Anwar assured then that the star's state is still stable, and that doctors are still prohibiting visits to Sharihan to avoid any unexpected side effects.

Born on December 6th 1965, Sharihan Ahmad Abdul Fatah Al Shalakani, a member of the well-known Khorshid family, showed interest in becoming a professional dancer and an actress at an early age. She studied both ballet and tap dancing besides keeping up with school at the age of 6, and had her movie debut in "Quita Ala Nar" (Quita On Fire). – Albawaba.com
