Shima Said Honored as International Singer
The head of Vidov International Organization, Armondo Maurino decided to honor the Egyptian singer Shima Said Saturday after she had been classified by the organization as an international singer, according to the London based daily Al Sharq Al Awsat.
Said received the shield of Asia Voice Festival held in Kazakhistan last week.
Maurino agreed with Shima to honor her during his visit to Cairo to attend Cairo International Song Festival where he headed the jury for the western song.
For her part, Shima expressed her delight with the move saying that she would leave for Europe after being honored to perform a number of concerts for the Arab communities in France, Germany and Holland.
On the other hand, the Egyptian Minister of Tourism, Mamdouh Al Biltaji, handed out the shield of Cairo International Song Festival to the Indian artist Chiamac Davar who pleased the audience with his dancing and musical shows.
The Egyptian Ministry of Tourism has provided the necessary resources which helped Chiamac team in shooting a song video near the Pyramids. This is in addition to organizing a tour in Luxur City for the Indian artist and his team -- Albawaba.com
