Relations between Egyptian singer Shireen Abdul Wahab and her producer Nasr Mahrous have become tense once again after Shireeen refused to accept the leading role in the film "Omar and Salma," alongside singer Tamer Husni, who is currently facing trial for forging legal papers.
Circulating rumors claim that Shireen declined since Tamer appeared in over 80% of scenes, not giving the other actors their rightful time.
Nasr offered to double the scenes she would appear in, but she still declined.
The dilemma caused Shireen to make a final decision of breaking her contract with Nasr's company "Free Music" and pay the penalty condition through her lawyer and flew off to London until the matter is settled.
Mahrous refused to accept the money Shireen paid, despite the latter's insistence on leaving the company.
It is rumored that Shireen intends on signing with a new major production company, which she feels will be more suitable to her at this stage in her career, especially after the significant success she has been achieving.
On a different note, Shireen stresses the importance she places on presenting a new style to her fans, so they remain anxious for more. "Renewing my style does not only mean changing my look or appearance, but also includes working with new composers and singing in different dialects," stated Shireen.
Shireen asserted that not everything that is written about her in most tabloids is true, and "one shouldn’t believe everything they hear or read."
Shireen recently asserted that she never had plastic surgery because she is satisfied with her looks, and has only undergone minor dental work to improve her smile.
