‘Rotana’ music channels recently aired the new music video clip by the Egyptian artist Shireen Abed Al Wahab for her song “Inkatabli Omer” (Granted a New Life). The clip was also aired on Egyptian satellite, local channels and on “Nile Life” channel.
The clip was directed by Muhammad Sami and was filmed in Beirut.
The host of the entertainment show “Al Beit Betak” (This House Is Your Home) made a phone call to Shireen during a recent episode and asked her about the new clip. Shireen said that she was over whelmed when the clip was aired and was glad to circumvent the restrictions imposed by ‘Rotana’ that stipulate clips by artists under their label are aired exclusively on ‘Rotana’ music channels.
According to the London daily Elaph, Shireen said that she wishes production companies would support artists in what is best for them and allow their work to be aired on all channels.
Shireen also said that she would like to film more than one music video clip for songs from her new album. She will continue working on the album once she gives birth to her second baby, a girl.
