Arabic music satellite channels will begin airing the new clip by Egyptian singer Shireen Abdul Wahab, from the new movie “Al Ishiq Wal Hawa” (Love and Romance).

This marks Shireen’s first movie soundtrack and the clip features scenes from the film and its stars Ahmad Al Sakka and Muna Zaki.

Initially Moroccan singer Samira Saeed was nominated to perform the soundtrack, but Shireen, considered Egypt’s number one artist with the highest record sales for the year 2005, was chosen instead.

Shireen has refused an offer from singer Tamer Husni for the leading role in his upcoming film, “Amr and Salma.” Shireen stated that she did not feel the character suited her, and considered it more of a supporting role. Shireen asserted that money is not the issue for her, but whether the role bolsters her career.

Shireen has denied circulating rumors that she will announce her engagement. Shireen, who broke off an engagement last year, said she has no intention of getting engaged again at this time.
