Shireen in a state of panic
Egyptian singer Shireen Abdul Wahab has revealed that she is under extreme stress regarding a number of decisions that concern her career, adding that she is facing challenges and obstacles that she needs to overcome to prove herself to all her fans.
According to the daily ‘Al Masa’, Shireen said that everyone is waiting for her to release something new and that she lives in constant fear of failure and that what she presents to her audience may not meet their satisfaction. She stated that her enemies are hoping that she will meet failure especially after signing with a new production company.
One of the things that worry Shireen currently is the fact that her previous business manager and producer, Nasr Mahrous, intends on releasing an album she had recorded in the past while she was still signed with him. Nasr intends on launching the album at the same time she plans on releasing her first album with the production company ‘Rotana’.
Sources revealed to Shireen that Nasr had compiled a number of songs she recorded in the past but never released in one album and is waiting to release it at the same time with Rotana to create conflict for the singer.
Recently, the Music production company 'Rotana' announced that Shireen has joined their team. The company, which boasts over 120 singers, made its announcement after months of ongoing negotiations with the singer.
Shireen’s new contract states that she will remain with the company for at least three years and will produce at least two albums, in addition to several music videos.
The dispute between Shireen, her former producer Nasr Mahrous, and the ‘Egyptian Musician Association’ continue. Nasr has filed a new lawsuit against Shireen demanding she be prohibited from releasing any new albums until she pays a fine for breaking her contract with him.
Shireen already agreed to pay Nasr 2.5 million Egyptian pounds for breaking their contract.
