Singer Latifa’s Career Hits High Note with Tunisia’s Top Cultural Award

Tunisian singer Latifa has been presented with her country’s Cultural Medal for her contributions to promoting Tunisian singing and language, as well as for holding several charity concerts over the past few years, according to ArabStars.Net. 

Tunisian President Zein Al Abedeen Ben Ali presented the singer with the medal, which is the naion’s highest cultural award. 

Latifa is nowadays preparing for the debut of her new movie Sukout Hansawar (Stop, We Are Going to Shoot), directed by Yousef Shahin. 

The film is scheduled for release by the end of August, and will also be presented at the Venice Festival in France. 

Latifa is scheduled to perform several concerts this summer in her homeland, on the heels of a successful event in Libya, and will also be touring several Arab countries – Albawaba.com
