Solaf Fawakhrji has surpassed problems with "Asmahan"

Syrian actress Solaf Fawakhrji will film a new television drama series "Asmahan" about the life of Asmahan, the late sister of the famous singer Farid Al Atrash.

The new series will be filmed in Syria and Egypt and will be aired on satellite channels during the upcoming holy month of Ramadan.  The series faced production problems and issues with the family of the late singer.

Sayed Hilmi, president of Madinat Al Intaj Production Company (the Egyptian Media Production Company), said that filming will start at the beginning of next month.

‘Madinat Al Intaj Company’ is responsible for 50-percent of the series, inaddtion to another Syrian production company.

The series includes 30 episodes, following the different life stages of the late singer, Asmahan, whose life ended in a car accident. Some believe that Asmahan was murdered.
