Solaf Fawakhrji prepares for “Rose Al Yousif”

The famous Syrian actress Solaf Fawakhrji is getting ready to start filming her two television drama series, the first “Rose Al Yousif” and the second “Cleopatra”.

Solaf had also given her initial acceptance to the famous Egyptian superstar Tamer Hosny to star in his newest film, but her decision is not final until the scenario is written and she reads it. The director Wael Ihsan was the one who nominated Solaf for the role. The film script is written by Ahmad Abed Al Fatah and will be produced by Muhammad Al Sabki.

 According to the London daily Elaph, Solaf announced that she hopes there will be a Syrian cinema on the same level of the Syrian drama which proved to be a successful one. She considers the “Damascus Cinema Festival” a new trend that is taking place annually despite the fact that there are no Syrian films participating in it.
