The famous Syrian actress Solaf Fawakhrji announced that she is the one who turned down an offer by the Egyptian superstar Tamer Hosny to work on his upcoming film.
Solaf said that she wanted more time to read the script for the film before she made her final decision and Hosny was displeased.
According to the London daily Elaph, Hosny said that he declined to work with Solaf and that he never even nominated Solaf for the role. He said that the role was specifically written for the Egyptian actress May Iz Al Deen.
Solaf participated in the “Adounia” awards ceremony held in Damascus. She had presented the famous Syrian actor Basam Kosa with an award for best actor.
Solaf had also filmed an episode for the entertainment show “Scoop” which is aired on “MBC” satellite channel, and she invited the crew of the show to her home.
Solaf denied statements circulating on internet websites that she was cheering for the Algerian soccer team instead of the Egyptian team. She said that she did not watch the game and she has no interest in soccer games.
