This coming Ramadan season many famous and well-known stars have raised their salaries, which means that half the budget for every project will go as salaries to leading stars of the drama series.
According to the Qatari daily Al Raya, on the top of the list comes famous Egyptian actor Yahia Al Fakharani, where he will be paid 4 million Egyptian Pounds for his new drama series “Yatraba fi Izo” (Raised by His Father’s Wealth). Al Fakharani was paid 5.2 million Egyptian Pounds last year for his Ramadan drama series “Sikyet Al Hilali” (Al Hilali Railroad).
Second place comes famous Egyptian actress Nadia Al Jundi, where she’ll be paid for her new drama series “Man Atlaq Al Rasas Ala Hind Alam” (Who Shot Hind Alam) a sum of 3 million Egyptian Pounds. The script for the series is written by Yusri El Jundi and produced by Khaled Bahjat. This comes as the second TV series after her “Mishwar Imra’a” (A Woman’s Journey) drama series, which was aired on television two years ago. The series was a great success; therefore, the producers and distributors gave in to pay her a high salary.
As for the beloved Egyptian actress Yusra, her salary for this year went up to 2 million for her new television series “Qadiyat Ra’i Am” (Social Issue). The script for the series is written by Muhsin Jalad and produced by Muhammad Azizeh. The series is a production of Al Adel Group Production Company, and will be aired on Dubai satellite channel this Ramadan. Alongside Yusra, Noor Al Sharif will be paid 2 million for his Ramadan television series “Al Dali.”
On the other hand Egyptian actress Elham Shaheen will be starting in three different drama series this Ramadan. She will be paid 2 million Egyptian Pounds for each series.
As for the Syrian famous actor Jamal Suleiman he will be starting in a new series “Awlad Al Lail” (Kids of The Night) and will be paid a sum of $350 thousands and will be aired exclusively on Abu Dhabi channel. Last Ramadan he starred in the drama series “Hadaiq Al Shaytan” (The Devil’s Gardens) and was paid $100 thousands. The series was a great success in Egypt and in the Arab world last year.
Egyptian actor Hisham Salim is included in the million plus salaries of this year. He will be paid a sum of one million Egyptian Pounds for his drama series “Al Masrawyeh” (The Egyptian). The script is written by Anwar Okasha and produced by Ismail Abed El Hafiz.
After being away for more than 28 years, Egyptian actress Lubna Abed El Aziz will be starting in the new series “Amarit Ya’qopan” (Ya’qoban’s Building). She will be paid for her role one million Egyptian Pounds.
