Suad Hosni’s Family Cautious about ‘Cinderella’ Series

The family of Egyptian actress Suad Hosni has demanded that scenarist Abul U’la Al Salamoni show them the script of the series about the late star and secure their approval before shooting it. 

The 30 episode series, Cinderella, which Salamoni is about to finish writing, depicts the personal and artistic life of the late artist from her birth until death. 

The actress’ elder brother Ezz Eddin Hosni told the London-based daily Al Sharq Al Awsat that his family welcomed a series on the life history of his sister as a kind of honor and immortalization.  

At the same time, the family wants to ensure that the series will not affect her reputation or interfere with her personal or family affairs, particularly those of a number of family members who will enter the spotlight through the series. 

“Our demand is legitimate to protect the life story of my sister, who was not pitied even after her tragic death. The families of Atrash, Zakariyya Ahmed and Sayyed Darwish made the same demands, which the TV responded to,” the brother added. 

Meanwhile, the joint judicial medical court has postponed its final decision on the case of the artist until an as-yet undetermined later date in order to study the subject more. 

The daily Al Ahram cited Dr. Chilli Forset, who was entrusted with the case file by the British Forensic Medicine Commission, as saying that she had some questions that need answers. She added that she had sought a comprehensive review of the details of the incident, but noted that this did not necessarily mean suspicion of criminal activity. 

For their part, the British police confirmed that there had been no suspects in the incident. 

The late artist died after she plunged on June 13 from the balcony of her friend, Nadia Yusri, in a building north of London - Albawaba.com
