Sulaf Fokharji heads to the US to fulfill her dreams

After obtaining a degree in medicine young Syrian actress Sulaf Fokharji revealed that she will head off to the United States of America to specialize in psychiatry, which is in truth the role she is playing for her upcoming role in the television drama “Shawati’ Al Wafa” (Beaches of Faithfulness). Sulaf is to portray the role of girl who comes from a wealthy Syrian family and dreams of becoming a psychiatrist.

 

According to the London based weekly, Laha, throughout the course of events in the series, Sulaf meets a young Syrian man in the US, who is also completing his studies, and falls in love with him. The series tackles different social problems, mainly immigration, and gives a contrast between living in the East and West.

 

Recently, Sulaf had revealed that she was overwhelmed at the thought of acting alongside the late prominent Egyptian actor Ahmad Zaki in the his new film “Halim”, which he never completed.  Sulaf was honored at being nominated by Zaki and prominent director Sharif Arafeh and hopes that she will play her role up to their expectations.

 

Sulaf will be playing the role of Halim’s secret lover, who comes from a well-known Egyptian family, but to their dismay, their love does not end with marriage.  Sulaf added that she considers this role the most important one in her career and intends on placing all her efforts to play it to the fullest.
