Sumaiah Al Ulfi struggles to portray the life of Rose Al Youssef

In complete secrecy, Egyptian actress Sumaya AL Ulfi is undergoing negotiations with the heirs of late writer Ihsan Abdul Kadous to portray the life of his mother Rose Youssef in a new TV drama series. Sumaya is hoping that by playing the leading as Rose, it will be the most important job she takes on throughout her career as an actress introducing her capabilities as a great actress. 

 

According to the UAE based daily, Al Bayan, Sumaya said that she has been reading everything on that was ever written about Rose she could get her hands on. And added that she is currently gathering all necessary information about Rose for she is truly a great woman and whose life is filled with meaning and important events that make her a great part of Egyptian history. Rose played an important and influential role politically contributing greatly to society.  

 

From her most notable work, Rose was the founder of one of the most important magazines, Rose El-Youssef a famous political weekly magazine, of her time leading the way for journalist in Egypt in her time and playing the role model for generations that came after her. Rose El Youssef is the magazine of Egypt's liberal elite and every Sunday it appears with a diet of juicy conspiracy stories, cutting cartoons and an occasional interview. 

Sumaya's costarred with Nour El Sherif in the Ramadan TV drama "Al Atar Wal Sabaa Banat" (The Spice Dealer and His Seven Girls). The series directed by Mohammed Al Naqli and written by screenwriter Mustafa Moharram also starred Sawsan Badr, Majda Zaki, Hala Fakher, Emad Rashad, Rania Fareed Shawki and many others. -Albawaba.com
