After the outstanding success she achieved in the recent Ramadan television drama series "Hadaeq Al Shaitan" (The Devil's Gardens) alongside prominent Syrian actor Jamal Suleiman, Egyptian actress Summaya Al Khashab announced that she would never again repeat a leading role alongside Jamal or the production company 'Al Jabr', which produced the drama.
Summaya stated that she did not feel the taste of this success on a personal sense and felt that she was cheated by having her role minimized and a number of her scenes deleted from the script. She added the scenes that were deleted were replaced with ones for Suleiman, and she could not understand why she was treated in such a manner.
The drama achieved a viewers and critics award for being one of the most watched dramas during the holy month of Ramadan.
The cast included stars like Riyadh Al Khouly, Salah Abdullah, Abdullah Farghali, Ahmad Salama, Khayrieh Ahmad, An'am Salouseh, Osama Abbas, Mahmoud Ah Hadeni, Amerieh Al Adi and Mimi Jamal. The script was written by Mohammad Safa Amer and the direction by Ismael Abdul Hafez.
In the past, an array of rumors circulating surrounded Summaya, such as she is pregnant, that she is divorced, or even that she is secretly married.
The rumor of her pregnancy came about when Summaya suddenly fainted while shooting the scenes of her recent Ramadan television drama series “Raya and Iskeena.” Those present mistakenly assumed that she was pregnant, and her fainting was a result of morning sickness.
The actor has denied that she is pregnant, and affirmed that she did not get a divorce, and is in fact happily married, although her husband’s identity remains a secret.
