Summaya Al Khashab’s demands refused
Director Ali Abdul Khaliq has refused Egyptian actress Summaya Al Khashab’s request to wait for her until she completes filming the scenes of her upcoming films “Ali Spicy” and Amaret Ya’qoubain”. Summaya had asked of the director to postpone the filming of his upcoming television drama “Ahlamana Al Hilwa” until she finishes her other scheduled work.
The director refused to wait and nominated actress Narmeen Al Fiqi instead for the leading role in the drama, stressing that he cannot put an entire project on hold for Summaya. Narmeen immediately accepted the role and stressed that she does not care if people consider her as a replacement for Summaya.
The first scenes of the new film “Ali Spicy” starring Egyptian folk singer Hakim and Summaya Al Khashab are finally being filmed at Studio <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />Egypt. The film will mark Hakim’s first leading role in the cinema, an experience the singer stresses is not thought of a mere urge for a singer to act, but rather a passion he has been preparing for in the past five years.
In the film, Hakim performs five different songs, two of which are sung as a duet with Summaya, who had also sung duets with Egyptian singer Mustafa Amar in his film “Bahibak Wi Ana Kaman”. Summaya has expressed her happiness at returning to the cinema, after an absence that lasted for over a year and a half. She added that the film holds humanistic meaning and is a romance musical combined with comedy.
Summaya is at the same time filming her role in the new film “Amarit Ya’qoubain” alongside prominent Egyptian comedian-actor Adel Imam and a number of some of Egypt’s most notable actors and actresses.
The actress revealed that she had accepted two do both acting jobs at the same time due to the fact that the roles are so interesting and will add tremendously to her acting career. Summaya revealed that she is seriously thinking of going into the world of music to add a singing career to her acting profession.
