Egyptian actress Summaya Al Khashab is furious over circulating rumors stating that disputes between her and her husband have led to a divorce.
Summaya stressed that she has a strong marriage, and that she is very happy with her husband.
According to the London based daily, Alsharq Al Aswat, the actress stated “I am always faced with such rumors that attack my personal life,” adding “I just wish those who create such ridiculous nonsense would leave my personal life alone and just concentrate on my professional one.”
Summaya has kept the identity of her husband a secret, claiming that “people do not need to know the details of my personal life.”
Perhaps her secrecy has fueled the rumors even more.
Some rumors stated that Summay’s new husband, supposedly a wealthy man, was previously married to an Egyptian actress, and also requested that their marriage remain a secret. None of which has been confirmed by the couple.
Summaya has been nominated to host the upcoming “Riddles” show, scheduled to air during the holy month of Ramadan.
The show consists of thirty episodes in which the actress will present acting and singing performances, and she is currently taking extensive dance lessons in preparation.
Summaya also stars with Egyptian folk singer Hakim in the film “Ali Spicy,” recently launched in Cairo. The film, produced by the Arab Company for Production and Distribution, is Hakim’s entrance into the acting world, although reviews have been poor.
Lastly, the actress revealed that she has signed a new contract with record producer Nasr Mahrous to produce her first album.
