Egyptian actress Summaya Al Khashab finally announced the news of her marriage to an Arab businessman, proving that recent circulating rumors of her secret marriage are in fact true. The actress had disappeared from the scenes in the past month creating numerous rumors to come out that stated she has resigned from acting and gotten married. One of the rumors had it that she hot gotten married to the director of the play “Kidda Okay” (Like This Okay), which she was taking part in.
According to the London based daily, Al Sharq Al Awsat, Summaya said that she does not intend on making any further comments regarding her marriage stressing that it is a personal matter and does not concern anyone. The actress also revealed that she had gone to Europe with her husband and spent over a month. She added that she did not resign and intends on continuing her previous engagements in her acting career.
Some rumors stated that Summay’s new husband, who is a wealthy man, was previously married to an Egyptian actress, and had demanded Summay to end her acting career. It was added that the businessman had also requested that the actress does not publicize their marriage to avoid allegations against him saying he only marries actresses, as well as fearing problems from his family for marrying an actress.
What has caused these rumors to increase by the days is the fact that Summya had closed her mobile phone and refuses to talk to anyone to make a statement. Her disappearance is so unusual that three producers are currently undergoing investigations to find out where she is. Many questions are being raised about the actresses whereabouts and her reasons for vanishing from sight. All the rumors and conclusions fail to resolve the mystery of Summaya’s actions and will stay that way until she returns to the spotlight once more.
Previously, the actress had encountered a dispute with Egyptian actress Muna Zaki over the leading role in the play “Kidda Okay”, which starred both actresses. The competition over the leading role in the play created countless problems and even brought on hatred between the two. The tension between the two actress previously originated from a soap commercial which was supposedly assigned to Summaya, but was later on given to Muna.
On a different note, the Egyptian censors had sent out a warning to Summya for wearing indecent and seductive cloths on stage while acting in the play. The actress had ignored previous verbal warnings and went on to wear revealing outfits causing the censors to be outraged. –Albawaba.com
