Summer war between Lady Madonna and Manar continues

The artist Manar’s business manager, Sam Hamra recently held a press conference for the release of her new song “Al Dunia Sayfyeh” (Summer Time), which is a duet with Manar and Lebanese artist Lady Madonna.
The conference was held at the Movenpick Hotel in Beirut, although Madonna was not at the conference due to a great dispute between her and Manar that started during the filming of the video clip for the song. The conflict between the two artists started over their new duet together but also includes other issues.
Both Manar and her manager answered personal questions during the conference about what caused the dispute between Manar and Madonna.
According to the London daily Elaph, journalists were surprised to hear Manar say that she has no problem making-up with Madonna. Several journalists then accompanied Manar and her manager to Madonna’s house where they were all welcomed.
Even though Madonna welcomed everyone and thanked the press for coming, Madonna refused to withdrawal her lawsuit against Manar.
“You are all welcome in my home, but I will leave the conflict issues to my lawyer,” said Madonna.
The video clip for their duet was filmed under the Lebanese director Jad Shwairi and was produced by Manar’s manager Sam Hamra.
During filming of the clip Madonna whispered to some of the crew members working on the clip disparaging statements about Manar’s character. Madonna said that Manar had a romantic relationship with Sam Hamra and that he had left his family in Australia just to be with her. After Manar found out about the statements a fight started between the two artists.
Madonna is asking the court to award her US$30,000 and stated that the contract between the two artists is terminated.
