Another song for the late Tunisian singer Thikra has been released after her death.
In 2007 the Kuwaiti singer Abdullah Rowaished released a duet called “Ma Faqadak” (I Didn’t Lose You), singing with the voice of the late Tunisian singer. It was a great success. Rowaished brought back the voice of Thikra who was and still is one of the best singers of the Arab World in the 20th century.
There will be another release for the late singer through an Egyptian song called “Ana Habeitak” (I Loved You). The new release is written by the poet Baha Al Deen Muhammad and composed and distributed by Amir Abed Al Majid.
According to the London daily Elaph, Thikra recorded the song while making her last album “Youm Aleek” (A day against you). The song was supposed to be included on the album, but it was omitted since the album was aimed to young listeners and the song did not match the same young style. Thikra never released the song.
The poet Baha Al Deen said that the romantic song is about a social issue. Thikra enjoyed singing it and thought it was one of the best songs she sang in her short music career, said Al Deen.
