Sassy Suzan steps into the limelight
Saucy Suzan Najm Al Din is stepping up to the acting big leagues, preparing to star in the Egyptian drama "La Tashrab Al Qawha Ma Nihal" (Don't drink coffee with Nihal). The sassy Syrian has appeared in a number of Egyptian dramas, most recently "Bab Al Khalq" (Door of Creation), which featured the delectable Mahmoud Abdel Aziz in the cast, but this is her first lead role.
Suzan revealed that she'll beging filming the first scenes "La Tashrab Al Qahwa..." in the next few days. Written by Rida Al Wakeel, the drama will see Hussam Abdel Rahman in the director's chair.
The cast features a host of big names, inlcuding Tamer Hajras and Majdi Kamel, Elaph reported. Suzan will be playing an intrepid investigative journalist/presenter at one of the country's top satelite channels. Her work sees her lifting the lid on political corruption, with the regime of former President Hosni Mubarak looming large in the script.
As for the lady herself, Suzan says she hopes the drama brings honor and credibility to the profession of journalism and those workign hard to expose corruption without ever falling prey to its temptation.
