Behind closed doors: Prostitution in “Apartment #10”
Syrian director Eyad Nahhas has finally completed filming Season 3 of the popular TV series “Sarkhat Rouh” (Cry Out of the Soul). This Season is titled “Al Shaqqa Raqam 10” (Apartment #10) and was filmed in Damascus.
The name itself is very intriguing, and so is the content! “Apartment #10” touches on the taboo subject of prostitution, which is becoming widely popular in rented apartments in the Middle East.
According to Elaph news, the show sends out a message to those taking advantage of displaced Syrians by using them as prostitutes in rented apartments in the Arab world.
College students are the biggest number of people falling victim to this 'crime,' which the series writer Saeed Hinnawi said is becoming a phenomenon in the Middle East.
The five-part drama is produced by 'Golden Line Productions' and will star well-known actors Bassam Kousa, Abdelmonem Amairi, Marah Jabr, Sawsan Michael, Nadine Qadour and many others.
