Syrian comic series depicts spinster’s life

Syrian director Emad Saif Eddin who is known for his comic series and sarcastic style that mocks the negative social phenomena in society, has wrapped up shooting his new series al Safinah (the ship). 

The series was completely shot on board of a ship opposite Latakia port on the Mediterranean marking the first Syrian drama of its kind.  

Costarring in the series are Salim Kallas, Shukran Murtaga, Najah Hafith, Hasan Dakkak, Sawsan Michelle, Husam Tahseen Beih and others.  

The series scripted also by Saif Eddin and produced by the HFN Company, belongs to the contemporary comedy social genre and depicts the life journey of a spinster who disguises as a man to work as a waiter in a coffee shop to prove her presence and role in life.
