Tamer Husni forbidden from singing
The Egyptian Musician Syndicate has announced that it will stop Egyptian singer Tamer Husni from singing and will take away his membership to the association in addition to place him under questioning. The drastic announcement was made based on a complaint the syndicate received from a sponsor of concerts during Ramadan stressing that Tamer had refused to sing when he was scheduled to for no apparent reason breaking the contract between the two.
The singer has given out no comments regarding the matter, but will surely hire a lawyer to defend him, reported the Qatar based daily, Al Raya. Husni is anxiously awaiting the screening of his upcoming film “Halet Hub” (A Dose of Love), which will mark his first leading role in the cinema, during the Muslim holiday Eid El Fitr. The final scene of the film was taken from a live concert the singer held, for making it more realistic.
The film costars Tunisian actress Hind Sabri and is written by Ahmad Abdul Fatah and directed by Saed Hindawi. The movie had previously went through difficulties caused by Tamer who demanded he gets his copyrights since the story of the film was his, which he wrote four years ago. The cast of the film insisted that the rights go to the scenarist of the film Abdul Fatah and Tamer caved in to their wishes not wanting problems to exceed further. –Albawaba.com
