Egyptian singer Tamer Husni has just completed shooting the final scenes of his upcoming film “Halet Hub” (A Dose of Love), which will mark his first leading role in the cinema. The final scene of the film was taken from a live concert the singer held, for the purpose of making it more realistic.

The film, which is written by Ahmad Abdul Fatah and directed by Saed Hindawi, will also costar Tunisian actress Hind Sabri and is scheduled for screening August 18, 2004. The film had previously went through difficulties caused by Tamer who demanded he gets his copyrights since the story of the film was his, which he wrote four years ago. The cast of the film insisted that the rights go to the scenarist of the film Abdul Fatah and Tamer caved in to their wishes not wanting problems to exceed further.

Recently, Husni experienced a state of severe depression due to the fact that his first solo album “Hub” (Love) is not witnessing success in the record market. The singer had previously forecasted that his first album would be a big hit, but was disappointed to realize that it is not as successful as was expected.

Nasr Mahrous, producer of the album, had thought that Tamer’s album would find the same success the first solo album for Egyptian singer Shireen Ahmad witnessed. Shireen’s first album had brought her popularity in such a short time placing her on the same level of competition with Egyptian prominent singer Amr Diab.

Tamer’s main mistake was that he had postponed releasing his solo album and was away from the scenes for a long time. The album features nine songs, three of which are written by producer Nasr and fall under the romance genre. The singer filmed one of the songs in the form of a video clip. –Albawaba.com
