Tamer replaces Mai with Ghada to end rumors

As a means of ending circulating rumors of a secret love affair, Egyptian singer Tamer Husni has decided to replace actress Mai Izz Iddin, who was initially nominated for the leading role in his upcoming film ‘Captain Hima’, with another actress. Tamer nominated actress Ghada Adel instead, justifying his change of mind on the fact that each role is made for a specific person and the role in his movie suited Ghada much more than it did Mai.
According to the Saudi daily, Al Riyadh, Tamer did not want to make an issue about deciding not to give Mai the leading female role, stating that Mai is a very talented actress and all there is to the matter was a change in actresses. He added that this does not mean he intends on never acting alongside Mai, but on the contrary if there is a suitable situation for both of them to star in the same film then he will not hesitate.
Previously, when Mai was nominated for the role in ‘Captain Hima’, she had postponed several film projects in order to make time for the new film, which was to mark the second time Mai and Tamer are together.
Actresses Marwa Abd Al Min’im, Mina Fadali and Edward will costar alongside Tamer and filming is scheduled to begin in the near future.
The first film Mai and Tamer worked on was “Amr and Salma”, which was directed by Akram Fareed. The film had witnessed tremendous success and brought inover 20 million Egyptian pounds in profit.
