The Egyptian tax police say singer Ali Al Hajjar and his colleague Mohamed Yehya tried to evade paying 1.5 million pounds in overdue income tax, according to ArabStars.Net.
The tax authorities discovered that Yehya did not pay any tax on revenues from his last album, Soura Wa Damaa. The same went for Hajjar’s latest album.
The tax office summoned the two stars and confronted them with the overdue amount, and urged them to pay up to avoid prosecution – Albawaba.com
