The Egyptian censors have sent out a warning for Egyptian actresses Sumyya Al Khashab, Ghada Abdul Riziq, and Wafaa’ Amer for wearing indecent and seductive cloths on stage while acting for different plays. The actresses have ignored previous verbal warnings and went on to wearing their revealing outfits causing the censors to go in rage, reported the Kuwaiti based daily, Al Qabas.
The censors have warned the producers and directors of the plays each actress is taking part in to take away their licenses if the actresses do not abide by a certain dress code while appearing on stage. Representative from the censors have attended the screening of the plays and reported that the appearance of the actresses is inappropriate and too much is being revealed.
Sumayya is currently the lead actress in the play “Kida Okay” (Like This Okay) costarring with Egyptian actors Ahmad Al Saqqa, Hani Ramzi, and Sherif Munir. Sumyya had encountered a number of disputes with Egyptian actress Muna Zaki over the play for the leading role, which the producers failed to reach a truce between the two after several attemps.
Wafa is costarring in the play “Imsik Hukoma” (Take Charge of a Government) with Tunisian actress Hind Sabri, and Egyptian actors Alaa Mursi, Salah Abdulah, and Ahmad Riziq; Jalal Al Sharqawi directs the play.
Ghada is costarring with Hanan Turk, Mohammad Huneidi, and Midhat Saleh in the play “Taraniou” directed by Samir Al Asfouri. The Egyptian censorship had threatened the actress by taking legal actions, if she continued neglecting the warning issued against her, over the shameless dresses she worn in her latest play. The second warning came to demand Abdul Raziq to comply with the society's values and cultures, and to wear clothes that fit the play's original script permitted by the censorship.
On a different note, Ghada was in shocked when she discovered that an Egyptian newspapers accused her of having a relationship in the past with businessman Hussam Abu El Fateh and had been involved in a similar scandal of sex films as is the case with Egyptian belly dancer Dina. Despite previous occurrences of such allegations, Ghada filed a complaint against the paper that wrote about her involvement.
Ghada admitted to have never encountered Hussam throughout her life and was never involved with him in any manner. She added that the reason behind filing a lawsuit is because this time the rumors have gone too far disgracing her name and image. She said she would not allow anyone to drag her into such a scandal and was not willing to remain silent, which would mean that she was in fact involved with the businessman.
When asked about taking on any new seductive roles as her usual style, Ghada replied that she is trying to refrain from the role of the seductive and sexy woman in movies and TV series, not wanting to be limited to such parts. She added that she plans on taking different roles to prove to directors that she is capable of playing any part she is given. –Albawaba.com
