The great Lebanese singer Wadee Al Safi has canceled his participation in the “Safaqish International Festival.” He was slotted to host the opening of the Festival.
According to the London daily Elaph, Wadee canceled because he is suffering from a heart condition and his doctor said he was not fit to travel.
The Festival committee managed to get hold of the famous singer Sophia Sadeq to replace Wadee.
Wadee was also scheduled to perform at the Tunisian festival “Qafsah.”
Wadee has performed at Tunisian festivals in previous years and was loved by Tunisian fans for his strong and beautiful voice. Tunisian fans were disappointed Wadee could not attend, but wished him all the best and that he will recover soon.
