Wael Kfoury in Cairo for 24 hours

Lebanese singer Wael Kfoury has returned to Beirut after a quick 24 hour visit to Cairo.
The singer performed at a sold out charity concert, sponsored by the Rotary Club at the Grand Hyatt hotel in Cairo.
The singer apologized to journalists and media representatives for being unable to hold any interviews or press conferences during his visit. He only had time to rehearse for the concert, and afterwards had to rush back to Lebanon, he explained.
Wael has denied circulating rumors that he is romantically involved with a former student from the popular program Star Academy, aired on the Lebanese Broadcasting Company (LBC) satellite channel. Rumors claim that the singer had a soft spot in his heart for the Algerian contestant Salma, and was giving her attention by calling her and sending her gifts while she was on the program.
The singer stressed that he has no personal interest in her, and Salma is merely an infatuated fan.
“People misinterpreted my kindness to Salma,” Wael stated, adding that he only treated her in a way singers usually treat their fans.
On a different note, Wael revealed that he “could care less” about the recent remarks made by Lebanese singer Milhim Barakat, stating that he thinks Wael’s new look is more suitable for a woman.
Wael stated that he is pleased with his new look and feels that it suits him perfectly regardless of what others may think.
Wael is busy preparing his upcoming album, and has revealed that there is a strong possibility he will take part in a duet, but refused to give any further details wanting it to be a surprise for his fans.
